This technique involves finishing the flanks of the teeth, removing about a tenth of a millimeter on the chordal (or Wildhaber) level, guaranteeing a Din 3962, Grade 6 machining quality.<\/p>\n It is also possible to repair teeth by reducing the chordal level by even a few hundredths of a millimeter, working to correct any errors in concentricity, helix deviation and tooth profile.<\/p>\n Skiving<\/strong> is an indispensable technique especially in the case of small and bulky teeth that would prevent the use of grinding wheels.
